Can anyone tell me if the questions asked in the exam were limited to a 2X2 Matrix or more, especially when it comes to inverting a 3X3 matrix or a 4X4 matrix as it is too tedious??

No I was just joking.

I don't expect there to be a question where you have to invert a matrix.

If there would be a question like "inverse matrix A" this would not be a big problem as the question is multiple choice so just try for each answer matrix B whether A*B = I.

So learning how to do matrix multiplication is more important...
