GuestThe exam can be stressful. You look at a question, seems to have nothing to do with what you studied. Click next. Where is this one from? Did I study for the right exam? Click next. Oh man, the next is even more alien. You think, this is just nuts, I don’t know a thing. Stress rises, and nothing makes sense anymore. Click, click, click, and you are sweating.
Don’t let this happen to you – it is really important to keep your cool, and remember, it is okay even if a question looks completely unfamiliar. In all likelihood it is probably asking you what you already know, but using slightly different terminology. When you read it again, it will probably make more sense, and maybe with another read you will be able to make a fairly good guess. Do not forget, the passing marks for the PRMIA exams are only 60%, which means you can ‘afford’ to get as many as 40% wrong and still get through. It is important to stay calm, and even if you hit a rough stretch during the exam, do not let it overwhelm you. The exam is as much a thing of the mind as it is of knowledge.

GuestHi Everyone,
I completely agree with mukul on this aspect. I had given my Exam 1 on 8th November.
First 5-6 questions were completely unfamiliar and i was for a moment lamenting my decision to take the exam without adequate preparation !!
But as mentioned by mukul, i flagged those questions for review and started answering remaining questions. When i reviewed them at the end of the exam, i could answer 4 out of 6 comfortably !!
As per my understanding, the tricky part is the way the questions are framed and we need to read the question word by word to understand it.
I am awaiting my results and started preparation for Exam II
Regards
Lakshmi
