Has anyone recently taken exam 3? Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks.
November 26, 2018 at 11:35 am #1240AnonymousGuestI sat it on Saturday. I really don’t know how I did. Felt very well prepared going in, scoring 85% -95% consistently on the prep questions here…had read the books and material.
The questions are incredibly conceptual – there was 1 computational style question I think out of the 60. I honestly don’t know how I got on !
My advice would be to make high level notes of each and every chapter of the 3 books….understand the concepts as opposed to spending any time cogging formulae or calcs.

December 19, 2018 at 11:06 am #1239AnonymousGuestHi,
I recently sat for exam 3 and passed! I went through the curriculum which was initially daunting. I started watching YouTube Videos from Foreign exchange Maverick thinkers and Vamsidhar Ambatipudi. Then I went back to the curriculum to read and it became very easy to understand and took notes. I was very confident after this process that I was going to pass the exam and Thank God I did!
The exam is extremely theory based and maybe just one calculation and that is it!, don’t stress yourself learning all of the formulas, ensure you understand the underlying concepts thoroughly and also understand the theory behind the formulas, and don’t assume some areas aren’t as important as other areas because questions came from the expected areas and also the least expected areas.
Hope this helps someone ready to take PRM 3!

December 20, 2018 at 9:22 am #1252AnonymousGuestHi Khaled,
I didn’t use any practice questions(either Kesdees or Riskprep) before taking the exam. I just used the videos I mentioned and covered the curriculum and I went for the exam. Although, I would recommend you could use the practice questions anyway
