Two reasons for that: first it reflects the extent of coverage the subject has received in the PRMIA handbook. As you would have noticed, the questions are based largely on the material in the handbook. Second, the PRMIA exam does indeed focus more on financial risks (market and credit) as opposed to operational risk. The reason for this is merely that for financial institutions it is market and credit risks that dominate. Operational risk tends to be a bit of a side show – and the bulk of an institution’s risk capital is kept for market and credit risks and only a little for operational risk.
That said, I am always trying to improve and add to the question pool. If there are areas you think I am not covering well, do point me to them.
