I have finally achieved the PRM designation after a lot of hard work. One of the first things that came to my mind is to thank RiskPrep!! Thank you Mukul.

The mock exams at RiskPrep are very close to the actual exams. These exams helped me a lot in giving me assurance of my exam preparation. Usually, I followed below steps in my studying:

    1. On the first reading of the PRM materials, focus on achieving the objectives in the syllabus.
    2. On the second reading of the PRM materials, do the mock exams. This will help you identify your weak points and the topics you need to study more.
    3. Finally, do the mock exams in one sitting and check your score.

    Regards,
    Thamir

    Hi,

Also completed PRM a couple of weeks ago.
To be honest, that’s definitely not straight forward : some of the questions on the exams (specifically on exam III) where very tricky. I couldn’t remember what the answers were even though I read the book and additional papers more than fives times each.

Good luck for those of you who have not yet completed PRM !

I have also completed the PRM certification few weeks ago! Thanks Riskprep for the invaluable help. The exams were really tough…especially Exam 3 and 1 in my opinion. The questions tested were on the understanding rather than what the textbook covers. Good luck to those who are still in the process of taking!

I have as well completed the PRM syllabus. Thank You all, PRM handbook, Carol Alexander’s “Market Risk Analysis” and those three other books on Risk Management, Kesdee, EduPristine, Riskprep, and etc…for your input, advice in accomplishing this endeavor. Starting in September and completely in January of 2016, some of these questions might become outdated or in need of an update since we know the overhaul of the syllabus so I wish to again state Thank You for this opportunity.

    Hi All,

Yes I’ve just cleared my PRM too, got my license number a week or two.

Very glad to get it completed before the new exams come in effect with the new handbook.

My overall view: the content in the handbook was technical and tricky in parts, but on the whole, not overwhelming. The questions on here, and in other places, were generally helpful.

However, the exams WERE tricky. They obviously have a big databank of questions, or derive new ones quite often, because the training questions, though relevant, were not that similar to what you actually get on the exam. I’ve done a lot of exams throughout my career (just completed a masters and have two bachelor degrees). Walking out of every exam in my degrees, I felt I passed, and it was only a question of how well I did. The feeling was different walking out of PRM-3 and PRM-4. Though ending up getting mid 70s, I walked out not knowing whether I passed or not. This of course gives even more satisfaction about having completed the PRM!

Good luck to budding PRM holders.

    Hi,

Since you have complete PRM 3. i would like to request you to share your honest feedback on the exam 3. I am appearing for the last level 3 exam in sept window and I have to somehow complete PRM in September 15, as i will have to resit for the exam 1 again cos of the 2 year criteria.

Does the 4 year work experience also take effect even if one does cross the 2 year exam completion criteria? or wrk exp is a separate criterion?

    Appreciate your feedback guys.

    Hi Thamir,
Please advise on how did PRM 3 go for you. I think the material is a lot harder to grab easily. Please advise.
