    Hi All,

I am interested in pursuing PRM as I am working in Risk Management profile. I am planning to begin my studies etc for the same by September 2012. I have a few questions before I could make a proper approach for myself towards this exam.

    1. I have NO Finance Background at all, considering this which exam should I take first? Follow the sequence as 1,2,3 and 4 ? or follow some other specific order which would give me knowledge about concepts first before applying them in some other level? Kindly suggest.

    2. I believe the current syllabus for PRM hasnt been changed post 2010. Am i correct? Are there any correction updates from PRM yet very soon in the near future declared. I couldnt find any, so just asking to confirm.

    3. Can i register on PRMIA.org now as a free member and then later change status to Sustaining membership. As it is my 2year duration will begin once I PASS my first exam, am I correct?

Please help me in these main questions. They will help me in deciding my path.
    Thank you so much! :)

    1) for those who doesnt have finance background, i recommend take it in order.
    2) prm syllabus updated once in 2008, for future update, you will need to email prmia for answer.
    3) yes, you can register as free member. However, sustaining membership give you discount for exam registeration and study material, so it is wise to register as sustaining member so you can enjoy the discount and material such as webinar.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I mailed PRMIA regarding the syllabus. They said the updates will happen as and when need arises to do so.

They might consider updating syllabus in 2013 and candidates will be given 6months time to prepare for those updates.
