GuestI notice that the KESDEE content for PRM 3 has not been updated for 2015. They agree but their response to my follow-up queries (when wil they update, can I get a refund etc.) have been slow. Has someone else had similar experiences?

GuestTheir content is orientated towards the 2011 syllabus. I asked for a refund but havent heard back.
They were good for exam 1 but not so much for exam 3February 28, 2019 at 11:10 pm #1256Anonymous
GuestIve been using it so far for an exam I have next week, so does that mean im busted?
How do you know for fact its not suitable – where does it say?
2011 is supposed to be shorter, this is 23 chapters?

GuestYou will still be learning from it so that’s good.
But when I looked at the 2011 syllabus it correlated perfectly with the kesdee chapters
Doesn’t necessarily mean you’re bustedMarch 2, 2019 at 2:28 pm #1257Anonymous

The risk prep tutorials are good too and a general understanding of riskMarch 4, 2019 at 8:24 pm #1258Anonymous
GuestIve a fairly good understanding of the principles etc but at this point Im just gonna have to try and muscle memory the risp prep questions & hope for the best/that some of it is relatable.
Will most likely report back with how I’ve miserably failed.

Yeah, I did the exam and I think I got 24/60.
There were loads of questions with extremely poor grammar.
There wasn’t a single calculation question.
They were mostly generic questions regarding various things like;
-Cmbs
-Basel ii
-Loss given default and pd
-Operational risk
-Hhi vs hh
300: 200: 100 rest were 10m
What was the hh number and index (2questions)
-Bermudan swap
-Fsa 2009 question – liquidity risk 2009
-Principples of prmia – which one is not a principle
-deferral of pay
-Revolving mbs x2
-Credit risk officer role
-Alm and alco
-Fva/xva/cva/dva
-kri
-Top down approach
-Expected exposure
-Kurtosis/leptokurtosis
-Options pricing approach
-Contingent claims approach
-Internal operational risk management
-Plenty of true/false questions
-Risk Adjust Performance measures
-Risk Adjusted Returns question
-Retail risk based pricing
-Interest Rate swap question
-Credit spread question
-Yield curve question
-Floating for fixed question
-Extreme value theory or extreme something question maybe evtreme value
-Assumption of normality – fat tails
-Sharpe ratio
-Cds of an index question
-Feedback effects
-What is a balance sheet
-Isda questions about netting / terms / events of defaults
-Multi netting / bilateral close out netting questions
A give 20 to b
B give 15 to c
C give 10 to aWhat did the netting agreement save?
Sit it again in a couple of weeks and will just try and brush up on the above to make up the extra 12 or so marks but can tell you the Kesdee is pretty useless as are most of the questions on RiskPrep minus whatever’s mentioned above.
