I have just finished my PRM. I took exam 3 as last. It was much easier I expected and the score was quite good 86%. I had a minor problem with a new calculator, which a have not seen before, but nothing serious. My exam order was 2,1,4,3.
My tips are:
-expect everything, also facts and general understanding which is not covered in PRM handbook;
– do not underestimate exam 4 – the topic is easy, but the questions are very tricky…., I passed but the score was far from impressive;
– the most time consuming were 1 and 2 (if you are out of math or statistics you have to restudy everything….it takes a lot of time….more than 3 months);
– some questions are difficult to understand (especially the tricky ones) if you are not a native english speaker. Also I think you need additional 20% study time;
-as additional source I find very useful David Harpers you tube films for FRM candidates,
-in general: 3 months full study time should be enough for the first 3 and 1 month for the last exam (if you do not fail…)
-try to study every day, or almost every day….discipline is importantOctober 21, 2012 at 8:59 am #852AnonymousGuestcongrats man.
What do you mean by if you are not english native ! is the questions language tough?!
what resources other than the handbook do you suggest?
How many questions did you encounter from the additional readings (Papers)?
thanks
October 21, 2012 at 9:27 am #853MiroMemberHi,
In average not, but there are some questions that are formulated very unusual, sometimes they some unusual words…
Actually I remember some questions that I did not understand completelly…so the answer was like gambling….You could expect 1 or 2 two questions in exam like that.
PRM Handbook, Bionic turtle FRM movies in Youtube, RiskPrep and Kesdee diagnostic exams…thats is all you need. If you don’t completely understand the topic just surf the net.
October 22, 2012 at 10:59 pm #854KelvinMemberHi Perko,
Would you mind to share your insights on Exam 3 as I am preparing for the exam, it seems a lot of material and passages to read. What were your strategies to accomplish all the readings? Should I do the RiskPrep questions several times?
Much appreciated your help!

October 31, 2012 at 8:09 am #856MiroMemberI did Riskprep questions twice, PRM handbook 3 times and used some additional resources on web(Bionic turtle films on you tube) and I did Kesdee diagnostic exam few times.
My tips:
– first reading should be just to get an overall picture,
– read the additional readings (stress tests, SCAP programm….)
– try to remember the differences and similarities, there are many questions formulated in that way,
– footnotes in PRM handbook are important, -
