Hi all
im wondering which Exam should I take first? I’ve gotten a few views on this.
some said
1. to take the easiest one first.
2. to flw the flow and take Exam1 cos its related to Exam2 and subsequently 3Any ideas? please do advise! Thanks!!!
January 29, 2013 at 5:01 pm #935NgoziMemberI will suggest you take exam 1 first,Exam 2 is pretty easy.
January 29, 2013 at 10:01 pm #936MikeMemberI dont think it matters that much. I went 2-1-3-4 so that i could get 2 in the bag and feel more confident that i can do it. Exam 1 has a lot more material and can appear a bit intimidating but it isn’t that bad actually. I would suggest 1-2-3-4 but starting with 2 is equally ok. I wouldnt start with 3 (too hard) or 4 (too easy).
Important thing is to focus on understanding the material and the concepts and the exams will come. Dont worry about test strategies too much. Best of luck

January 30, 2013 at 5:23 pm #938NgoziMemberHey MSaxp,Which revision questions did u use for exam 3? hoping to take it asap, I have been kind of slow with PRM lately since i started studying for FRM, I have just Exams 3&4 left and i plan to finish it in a couple of weeks. Pls let me know the questions u used I’m currently using riskprep and eduleap.
Cheers!
February 1, 2013 at 8:19 am #944MikeMemberFor Exam 3 I only used Kesdee (the ones you can get through PRMia). Cant say I was impressed. Didnt feel like the exams were representative of the material and definitely needed some proofreading. I only used the RiskPrep tests for Exam 2 and i think they were very helpful.
To be fair, nobody can tell you how close the practice test questions are to the actual test as we only see one set of the actual question that can randomly be one way or the other
February 26, 2013 at 10:17 pm #939AnonymousGuestSince you are starting with PRM, you may also want to consider APRM exam exam offered by PRMIA. Its relatively easier and is meant for people starting their career in risk management. Its a quick and effective way of strengthening your resume and later on you can get the PRM designation as well as it gives you an automatic credit for the exam IV of the PRM exam. So if your target is to become a PRM, wrtie the APRM exam first, get that designation and get credit to exam IV of PRM and then till the point you clear the other 3 PRM exams, you continue to leverage the APRM (Associate PRM) designation. The cost difference in the two approaches should be neglible.
February 27, 2013 at 1:29 am #955AnonymousGuestthanks a bunch lyricist!! the content is much lighter than PRM. which helps, to give me the foundation, as you suggested!.
i didnt know there was a APRM. is it a new certification?
how much exposure is this cert in the financial/risk management industry? is it well known?please advise!
thanks
February 27, 2013 at 9:42 am #956AnonymousGuestAPRM alone will not really help you in the RM industry
it’s just a light PRM which i see as a smart way to start the whole certificationFebruary 28, 2013 at 1:14 am #957AnonymousGuestthanks!
noted on that. the materials are good and easier to understand for someone new like me.March 5, 2013 at 8:18 am #945AnonymousGuestHi Ngozie
I am currently preparing for PRM exam 2. I have also been using diagnostic exams from riskprep and eduleap for exam 1. How was your experience with Eduleap on PRM 2? Their PRM 1 questions were quite good.
