GuestHi all,
I’ve just started studying for the PRM and have been considering purchasing the NextThought self-directed courses (http://www.prmia.org/prm-exam/online-training). Googling for reviews hasn’t been very productive, so I was wondering if anybody here has any experience with them. Worth the money? Better to use RiskPrep’s tutorials/questions/Kesdee’s course?
Much thanks for any advice in advance!

GuestHi
I bought them for Exam 3…I really don’t think they are worth it. Rather buy the practice exams here and read the handbooks.

GuestFor anyone interested, I ended up purchasing the training for Exam 2 and found it pretty useless. Just reciting info and passages from the handbook without any value-add.
So I concur with Hlanganyana.

GuestI think people are being a little diplomatic. I’m working my way through the videos for exam 1 at the moment and find them awful. The presenter is clearly reading from an auto-cue and hasn’t rehearsed so the sentences are all stuttered and his presentation style is incredibly robotic. They’re really poor and unprofessional. The slides are probably some use as a study aid, but the videos are dire. Nothing is explained, including the half worked examples. For the cost, some study slides don’t seem like value for money to me.

GuestWhat has worked for me so far is the material by kesdee and questions from risk prep., more importantly, try to do as many question as possible.
I am sitting for exam 1 tomorrow

GuestHi,
I had subscribed to the next-thought PRM I course and the videos were awful. However, thought the slides were a good summary of the book (with few mistakes of course!).
My question is: are the slides from Next-Thought’s PRM III helpful in summarizing the the daunting material or should I go through the books’ details?
