GuestThanks.
Riskprep questions should be enough to get you 40%-50%. However if you really want over 65% read the book Quantitative Methods in Finance by Carol Alexander. She is also associated with PRMIA in designing the curriculum.
I would at least do Calculus, Matrix and Probability as they cover over 70% questions from Carol Alexander. The book is very well written.June 7, 2019 at 6:01 pm #1294Anonymous
GuestI haven’t read that book, but I did just pass exam 2 with only the PRM book, kesdee and risk prep. I personally found it a lot easier than exam 1 but I did study maths at uni, which obviously offers a bit of an advantage.

GuestI have cleared the exam 2.
Can some one help how to exam 3. It’s difficult to read 1000 pages docs.what granular level I need to focus.what should be the strategy??June 19, 2019 at 6:58 pm #1295Anonymous
GuestCongrats on Exam 2!
For exam 3, it’s indeed a lot of material but if you have some risk management background, it should not be too complex. What I noticed and other people on this forum too is that there are not a lot of exam questions requiring the calculator so you can focus on the concepts, theories more than formulas.June 27, 2019 at 9:51 am #1282Anonymous
Guestjust finished exam 3 and got the results in 2 days! The exam is not difficult at all but u will need to go through the books at least twice. The exam is very straightforward and not tricky like PRM 1. Finally finished my PRM! good luck to u guys!

GuestFor exam 3? I’m still studying it. However, my understanding is you need to know it in detail, which is difficult as a lot of the concepts are very badly explained. I just read the bit in the first of the books for exam 3 on severity models….vague and sketchy explanation is an understatement.
From what I’ve heard, risk prep (and kesdee) will help understand the concepts but you need to know more detail from the books.
