MemberThe exam is reasonable and doesnt expect you to remember random numbers, so the number will either be provided or a table to look it up will be. Neither should worry you, i think.
To be honest, nobody can say with certainty, as most people will only have seen 1 real test. That makes it difficult to generalise anything you saw in that test.

MemberYou are right about the $195 being without VAT (which is charged at local rates) and not mentioned in the PRMIA website.
No idea what the test centre fee is, I paid online at the pearsonvue website and i paid $234 ($195+VAT), no extra fees.

MemberAssuming I understand what you are referring to, you need to know the P95, P99, P80 percentiles of the normal distribution

MemberI only used the handbook. It has everything you need
Mike
MemberAs far as I can remember, the only relevance is the test for the variance covariance matrices to be positive semi definite, i.e. to have positive eigenvalues
Mike
MemberI did it that way. I don’t see any issues with it. Best of luck
Mike
Memberdifficult to say. All that you need is in the handbook and riskprep. If you feel something doesnt make sense, you can look for more background info online. Overall it is not a particularly difficult exam
Mike
Memberare you talking about the practice tests? You can try that as many times as you want.
My advice is though, not to do too many practice tests. At some point you start learning the specific questions, so its usefulness to assess yourself against the real test, reduces. I would also say that until you can consistently get above 80% in the practice tests, you might the real exam difficult

MemberFor Exam 3 I only used Kesdee (the ones you can get through PRMia). Cant say I was impressed. Didnt feel like the exams were representative of the material and definitely needed some proofreading. I only used the RiskPrep tests for Exam 2 and i think they were very helpful.
To be fair, nobody can tell you how close the practice test questions are to the actual test as we only see one set of the actual question that can randomly be one way or the other

MemberI dont think it matters that much. I went 2-1-3-4 so that i could get 2 in the bag and feel more confident that i can do it. Exam 1 has a lot more material and can appear a bit intimidating but it isn’t that bad actually. I would suggest 1-2-3-4 but starting with 2 is equally ok. I wouldnt start with 3 (too hard) or 4 (too easy).
Important thing is to focus on understanding the material and the concepts and the exams will come. Dont worry about test strategies too much. Best of luck

MemberNot sure what you mean mate. There are a few quantitave elements in both test. But both exams are mostly qualitative. I would say that Exam 3 has elements that combine 1 and 2, while 1,2 felt more ‘standalone’
Mike
Memberyou always get a pen and paper in the PRM exams. plastic pad and marker to be precise, which they give you and you leave there at the end
Mike
MemberYes, Ive done I and II. III in a month’s time. I wouldnt do all of them in one go. Seems easier to do it in turns.

MemberStrange. PRMIA emailed me the list of links and they work fine since a couple of days ago. I can almost swear that before that, I was trying the same links and they didnt work.
Thanks all
